Bible Verses About Peace

Peace, in the Bible, is not the absence of storms — it’s a Person present in them. These are the verses to read slowly, out loud, at the end of a loud day.

John 14:27 records Jesus’ own gift: “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you… do not let your hearts be troubled,” and Philippians 4:7 promises “the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding.”

John 14:27

Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled; do not be afraid.

Philippians 4:7

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Isaiah 26:3

You will keep in perfect peace the steadfast of mind, because he trusts in You.

Psalms 4:8

I will lie down and sleep in peace, for You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.

Numbers 6:24-26

Psalms 29:11

The LORD gives His people strength; the LORD blesses His people with peace.

Isaiah 54:10

Though the mountains may be removed and the hills may be shaken, My loving devotion will not depart from you, and My covenant of peace will not be broken,” says the LORD, who has compassion on you.

Psalms 46:10

“Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted over the earth.”
